my system information is
3 gb of ram
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual core 5000+ 2.6 ghz
400 gb HD
nvidia geforce 9400gt (this is not stock, I installed this recently and it significantly improved game performance) nvidia rules!
and I’m running it on windows vista vista 32 bit sp 2
+ 22" monitor at 1680 x 1050 res

    put more RAM , 4GB.
    get better video card,
    install windows 7.
    good motherboar? overclock that crappy AMD.

    try upgrade your windows to windows 7..
    i’m using windows 7 and it it very smooth and lite..
    or upgrade your RAM..
    just my 2 cent

    I have the 9400gt, was a free giveaway. Anyways upgrade graphic card for games since 9400gt is pretty crap to be honest.
    Monitor wont affect performance so iono why u mentioned it.
    Windows 7 is a good option but get the 64bit version which requires 4gb of ram at least for it and you’ll see performance increases.

    In order of improvements I would recommend:
    New graphic card(Although dx11 just came out might wait) – Check specs and reviews of card before you buy.
    Ram – 4gb min, I’d prefer 6gb min but depends on windows you run
    Windows 7 – If your a student like me you might be able to get it free
