Transparency Tutorial

This tutorial to explain how to make non-transparent graphics transparent using Jasc Animation Shop 3. I will be using this image

Once you have your image or animation open go to Animation>Replace Color

When you click on that a box will pop up with a color picker. Pick the color you want removed, most likely the background color. To get the exact color, you can click where it says "Old Color" and with the color picker, drag it over to your image and select the color. The "with" color will be the new color, set it to transparent opacity and hit "ok". If it is an animation, you can adjust how many frames to change the color in. if the color of the background is, say black, and there is more black in the image that you dont want to be transparent, you should first change the color of the background to a different color that will NOT be in any other part of the image. I have circled all these things to note in the picture below in red.

Once you adjust everything, your image should look like the one below. The grey and white checkers in the back mean its transparent. :)

**TIP**
If the background is made up of different colors and shades you may need to repeat these steps until you get everything you want transparent. Just keep choosing the color you want to be transparent.
