Pixel Text Tutorial
1. Open up PSP, and start a new image with a solid Background. For this tutorial, I will be making\ my site name. So, I will make a canvas of 200 by 200 with a black Background.
2. You will need to have a pixel text installed on your computer. If you need one, go to dafont.com, and download Rednesek. Its the most commonly used text.
3. Take your text tool, and type your text with ONLY the bottom color like shown in the image here.
4. Now with your selection tool, you will set your settings to SQUARE, and select the text you just typed, and click. This should show the ants running around the text.
5. While the ants are running around your text, you click on SELECTIONS, MODIFY, then EXPAND.
EXPAND IT BY 2 PIXELS
6. Now, after you expanded it, open a NEW file, or the image you want to place the pixel text on. For this tutorial, I opened up an image with a plain pink Background.
7. Now, right click on the title bar of the pixel text image, the click COPY MERGED
8. Now, right click on your image (in this case, the pink image), and click PASTE > AS NEW LAYER.
9. Now, you can see your pixeled text. if you wanted to, you can even erase the pink, and make the Background transparent.
