Cutenews Installation

YOU MUST HAVE A DOMAIN, OR A REAL HOSTED SITE TO USE THIS!

1. Download Cutenews to your desktop

2. Right click on that file you just downloaded and unzip it (right click > Extract all > to desktop)

3. Open up your FTP, and load the folder thats called "cutenews" thats all it will say. If you are using SMART FTP, then simply open a new local browser and drag and drop the cutenews folder into your FTP.

4. Now that you have the folder titled "cutenews" in your FTP, open it by double clicking on it.

5. You will see a folder titled "data". Right click that folder, and chmodd it to 777 (replace the exsisting three digit # with 777)

6. Now, go to your internet browser, and type in YOURSITE.COM/cutenews/README.htm (that will just go over in more detail what we just did)

7. Now type in YOURSITE.COM/cutenews/index.php (If you set it up correctly, you should see a log in page that will walk you through the rest of the set up. From that page, you will create a user name and a password.

8. IT MIGHT tell you that you need to delete a file in your FTP. If it does, then delete what it tells you to delete.

YOUR ALMOST DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, do you want your cutenews to show up in your index page??? Well, you need to change the file extension to .php (index.php)

Copy and paste this code where you want your cutenews NEWS to be displayed:
